Optum is offering a Physician Pathways Program for final-year Otolaryngology Residents and Fellows, providing a head start on their clinical career. This program offers mentorship and exposure to a value-based care model, transforming healthcare nationally while providing physician-led care locally. Participants will gain deep exposure to primary and specialty care practice environments within Optum Tri-State facilities.
Practice Info
- Learn how to operate and thrive in a value-based care model in a system that is driving population health initiatives nationally
- Grow exposure to the Quadruple Aim framework and various understandings of care settings
- Mentorship from experienced physicians within your future practice easing transition from training into practice
- The customized program will be completed at Optum Tri-State facilities in New York and/or virtually with deep exposure to primary and specialty care the practice environment that will require a commitment of only a few hours per month.
Compensation
- Receive a generous guaranteed salary in your final year of training
- Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $39.60 - $59.86 per hour.
- Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.

Shift & Schedule
- Commitment of only a few hours per month.
Requirements
- Required: M.D. or D.O.
- Required: Must be transitioning into their final year of residency or fellowship or early into their final year.
- Preferred: Candidate will be a local physician resident in New York.
