JOB SUMMARY:
The Collection Analyst manages a large Ad Sales Linear Network portfolio (~$175M). This role focuses on collecting receivables, resolving discrepancies, maintaining payment relationships with clients, and minimizing bad debt risk. The position plays a key role in driving cash flow and impacting the company's bottom line.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Collection Analyst manages a large Ad Sales Linear Network portfolio (~$175M). This role focuses on collecting receivables, resolving discrepancies, maintaining payment relationships with clients, and minimizing bad debt risk. The position plays a key role in driving cash flow and impacting the company's bottom line.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage ~$175M Ad Sales Linear receivables portfolio
- Actively collect outstanding balances and resolve discrepancies
- Contact customers via email and phone to collect or resolve aged receivables
- Maintain detailed records of customer communications
- Follow up on past due and aging accounts
- Resolve customer discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams (ad sales, CSR, stakeholders)
- Meet collection targets (Aging, DSO, % overdue, etc.)
- Provide cash forecast projections to management
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve payment delays
- Recommend next steps (account holds, payment plans, etc.)
- Prepare reporting for leadership (aging, discrepancy, cash reports)
- Participate in aging review meetings with senior leadership
- Support ad hoc customer requests (statements, invoices, reconciliations, documentation)
- Assist in month-end close activities with NY and Buenos Aires teams
- Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable ledgers
- Support cash application and reconciliation processes
- Provide backup documentation for audits (internal & external)
- Escalate payment risk or changes in customer behavior
- Process refund requests
- Notify Credit team of accounts with financial risk
- Analyze discrepancy, cash, and aging reports
- Support team goals and deadlines tied to cash targets
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented with strong work ethic and integrity
