As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing therapeutic services under the supervision of the Home Health and Hospice Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Evaluate patients' functional status and implement the physician's plan of care
- Complete assessments and make decisions based on objective tests and measurements
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
- Provide education and direction to patients and coworkers
- Work independently and cooperatively while protecting patient rights
- Convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing grief, pain, or trauma
- Complete accurate documentation of all communications and treatment activities
- Adapt to emergency situations and be alert to changes in patients' conditions
- Support the facility's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures
- Participate in required education for DNV programs
- Float to other departments as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum
- Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Licensed by the State of Oregon as an Occupational Therapist
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Current certification in BLS
- Preferred: Registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association and CRASE training if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
- Need 1 year experience in setting
