AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a dynamic and broadly skilled Osteopathic Family Medicine physician to serve as Program Director for its well-established Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. This role, based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 295-bed facility, involves clinical teaching in an outpatient setting and offers the opportunity to develop a private patient base. The ideal candidate will bring a vision to increase academic activity and contribute to one of the largest healthcare systems in the country.

  • The Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at East Orlando is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession.
  • The program teaches eight new residents each academic year, along with two new residents each year in the ONMM3 residency.
  • Main medical school affiliation is with Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Opportunity to teach on the inpatient ONMM consult service is available for qualified candidates.
  • Opportunity to develop a private patient base seeing his/her own patients in dedicated time each week.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Program Director for the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program.
  • Provide clinical teaching in an outpatient setting.
  • Emphasize clinical teaching skills focused on preventative and evidence-based medicine.
  • Perform 50% clinical duties.
  • Perform 50% administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in residency education.
  • Physician must be board certified in Family Medicine.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in Osteopathic Family Medicine is preferred.
  • Experience in leading an osteopathic program is ideal.
  • Bring a vision to increase academic activity including research, posters, and presentations.
  • Dynamic communication skills are required.
  • Ability to fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth are required.
