Orthopedics Physician

Locums - Kansas City, Missouri, Orthopedic Surgery Opening

Start Date: As soon as credentialed Contract Length: 3 months with ongoing need

Coverage & Setting:

• Hospital-based Orthopedic Surgery coverage
• Level I Trauma setting
• Inpatient rounding and consultations
• Inpatient beeper call for Trauma/ED
• Orthopedic Surgery is first call for trauma fractures
• Adult and geriatric patient population

Schedule & Call Requirements:

• Thursday-Monday
• 24-hour call: 7:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m.
• Inpatient rounding during assigned coverage

Clinical Scope:

• Provider should be comfortable managing a broad range of Orthopedic Surgery cases
• No pelvic fracture coverage required

Support & Systems:

• PA/NP support
• Scrub technician support
• EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certification - Required
• Active Missouri license - Required
• IMLC candidates are not currently being considered
• DEA - Required
• BLS - Required
• ACLS - Required
• New graduates may be considered

Credentialing:

• Standard credentialing timeframe: Approximately 60 days
• Temporary privileges may be available in approximately 30-45 days with a clean file
