JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: BC required (Certified minimum)
  • Licenses: Licensed in NC
  • DEA: Required (NC DEA with NC address)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS
  • Other Qualifications: Must be vaccinated. Must be credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide 24-hour call coverage for general orthopedic surgery, including emergency department coverage.
  • Manage consults (0-3 per day) and provide medical management for orthopedic patients.
  • Perform ED visits for closed reductions, admissions, and surgical procedures (wrist, ankle, and hip fractures; I&D).
  • Stabilize and transfer long bone trauma as necessary.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the MediTech EMR system.
