Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA)

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality patient care by assisting physicians in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of orthopedic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, and treat patients with orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.


• Perform physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and develop treatment plans.


• Assist in orthopedic surgeries and procedures as required.


• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studies.


• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and facility protocols.


• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and preventive care.


• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.


• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.


• Active Physician Assistant (PA) license as required by state regulations.


• Current NCCPA certification required.


• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred based on facility requirements.


• Strong knowledge of orthopedic conditions, musculoskeletal assessment, and treatment.


• Previous orthopaedic or surgical physician assistant experience preferred.
