Northwell/Nuvance Health invites fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons to join Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, for an exceptional call coverage opportunity. Located along the scenic Hudson River just 75 minutes north of New York City, this state-of-the-art facility features a new inpatient pavilion and advanced medical care environments. Physicians will collaborate with a multidisciplinary trauma team to provide comprehensive and expeditious care for victims of traumatic injuries.

• State-of-the-art facility featuring a new 752,000 square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion, 263 private medical/surgical patient rooms, and 30 critical care rooms
• Level II, American College of Surgeons-verified Trauma Center
• Multidisciplinary trauma team providing 24-hour immediate coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide call coverage
• Assess and treat patients according to national guidelines, with a focus on maximizing patient recovery and outcomes

Compensation

• $1,700 for a 24-hour non-restricted call shift

Requirements

• BE/BC in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma required
• New graduates and experienced surgeons encouraged to apply
