Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon

Piedmont Orthopedics is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a growing program at Piedmont Medical Center, located in the Charlotte Metro area. This full-time, employed position offers a unique opportunity to build a meaningful practice in a high-acuity environment, supported by state-of-the-art surgical infrastructure. The role involves primary surgical focus on inpatient trauma with some outpatient care, playing a key role in the continued growth and development of the trauma program.

Practice Info

• Healthcare system includes two hospital EDs and a freestanding Level III Trauma Center, which is the only trauma center in York County.
• Level II designation upgrade for the trauma center is in motion for 2026.
• Strong, collaborative ED relationships are already in place.
• State-of-the-art equipment includes new surgical robots and large, well-equipped ORs.

Responsibilities

• Primary surgical focus on inpatient trauma with some outpatient care.
• Provide call coverage for York County's only trauma center (Level III, upgrading to Level II in 2026).
• Play a key role in the continued growth and development of our trauma program.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Completion of an Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery Fellowship.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the applicable state.
• Experienced Orthopedic Surgeon preferred.
• New graduates and experienced surgeons are encouraged to apply.
