Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a full-time Orthopedic Trauma Nurse Practitioner orPhysician Assistant to join a busy, collaborative orthopedic trauma program ata Level III Trauma Center serving south-central Idaho. This is an outstandingopportunity to work alongside experienced orthopedic trauma surgeons, providingcomprehensive inpatient, emergency department, operative, and follow-up care.

Position Highlights

• Schedule: 175 ten-hourshifts per year
• No Nights
• Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:30PM

Responsibilities

• Evaluate andmanage orthopedic trauma patients in the emergency department andinpatient setting.
• Round daily onhospitalized orthopedic trauma patients.
• First assistorthopedic trauma surgeons in the operating room.
• Perform fracturemanagement, splinting, casting, wound care, dressing changes, andpostoperative care.
• Participate in adedicated orthopedic trauma follow-up clinic.
• Coordinatepatient care with emergency medicine, trauma surgery, rehabilitation,nursing, and case management.
• Educate patientsand families on treatment plans and recovery.

Cases Include

• Pelvic andacetabular fractures
• Upper and lowerextremity fractures
• Hand injuries
• Routinepediatric fractures

Qualifications

• Graduate of anaccredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current oreligible Idaho NP or PA license.
• NCCPAcertification (PA) or national NP certification.
• Orthopedictrauma or surgical experience preferred.
• New graduateswith a strong interest in orthopedic surgery are encouraged to apply.
• Excellentcommunication and teamwork skills.
