Sanford Health is seeking a BE/BC Orthopedic Surgeon to join their multi-specialist practice at Sanford Worthington Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic in southwest Minnesota. This role offers a no-call position, promoting work-life balance, and encourages fellowship-trained Orthopedic Total Joint Replacement surgeons to apply. The clinic provides a resource of services to surrounding Critical Access Hospitals, working in conjunction with Sanford USD Medical Center.

Practice Info

  • Sanford Worthington Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic is located in southwest Minnesota.
  • Join a multi-specialist practice of nearly 30 Physicians and APPs.
  • The practice has a strong therapy department and three athletic trainers providing service to athletes.
  • Hospitalist services are available for adult patients that require inpatient care.
  • Sanford Worthington Medical Center has 3T MRI, CT, blood bank, and four large OR suites.
  • Sanford Worthington Clinic services include family medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics and sports medicine, podiatry, OB/GYN, surgery, and acute care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examination.
  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide pre-, intra-, and postoperative care.
  • Perform orthopedic surgical procedures for patients of all ages.

Compensation

  • Nationally competitive compensation plan.
  • Annual compensation floor range (based on 1.0 FTE): $631,148 - $816,780 plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs.
  • Additional incentives may be offered.
  • Actual compensation offers may vary and are determined based on multiple factors including education, training, certification, experience, scope of practice and actual job requirements.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated orthopedic surgical residency program or a clinical Fellowship of at least five years' duration accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • For those applicants that are not board certified at the time of application, but who have completed their residency training within the last five years; must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
