Sanford Health in Bemidji, Minnesota, is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified General Orthopedic Surgeon to join a well-established and collegial orthopedic practice. Practice Info
- Join a team of two general orthopedic surgeons, one sports medicine surgeon, one FM sports medicine physician, and five advanced practice providers
- 10 ORs with block time
- Two OR days per week
- Call - 1:4
- Two on-site X-ray suites located within the orthopedic building
- Bone health program
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and provide pre-, intra-, and postoperative care
- Perform orthopedic surgical procedures for patients of all ages
Compensation
- Nationally competitive compensation plan
- Annual compensation floor range (based on 1.0 FTE): $631,148 - $816,780
- Estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Experience can be demonstrated by providing a residency or Fellowship log (for recent graduates)
- Experience can be demonstrated by providing a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications (for applicants not directly out of residency)
- Ability to demonstrate at least 200 orthopedic surgery procedures in the last 24 months (if not directly out of residency)
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated orthopedic surgical residency program or a clinical Fellowship of at least five years' duration accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- For those applicants not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless waived by the appropriate governing Board
