Orthopedic Surgeon

Sutter Lakeside Hospital is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join a well-established and collaborative orthopedic team serving Lake County and surrounding communities. The incoming physician will provide a full spectrum of orthopedic care, including clinic consultations, treatment planning, injections, fracture management, and surgical interventions. Practice Info

• 25-bed critical access hospital nestled in the beautiful mountain ranges of Lake County
• Only trauma center and certified stroke center in Lake County
• Accredited by The Joint Commission
• Orthopedic team currently consists of two physicians who foster a collegial and supportive work environment
• Current patient volumes average 18 to 22 patients per day, including new consultations and follow-up visits
• Practice receives referrals from both the hospital and community providers

Responsibilities

• Provide a full spectrum of orthopedic care, including clinic consultations, treatment planning, injections, fracture management, and surgical interventions
• Manage patient communications, review referrals, medication refills, and disability-related documentation
• Handle cast and splint management

Compensation

• Guaranteed salary
• Sign on bonus up to $50,000
• Salary range: $562,952 - $1,166,880 per year

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency program
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Unrestricted California medical license, or ability to obtain one prior to employment
• DEA certification or ability to obtain prior to start date
