Orthopedic Surgeon

Sutter Lakeside Hospital is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join a well-established and collaborative orthopedic team serving Lake County and surrounding communities. This is an excellent opportunity to build a busy practice with strong referral support while enjoying an exceptional quality of life in Northern California. The incoming physician will provide a full spectrum of orthopedic care, including clinic consultations, treatment planning, and surgical interventions.

Practice Info

• Well-established and collaborative orthopedic team serving Lake County and the surrounding communities
• Current patient volumes average 18 to 22 patients per day, including new consultations and follow-up visits
• The practice does not treat spine cases or workers' compensation patients
• The orthopedic team currently consists of two physicians
• Sutter Lakeside Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital nestled in the beautiful mountain ranges of Lake County
• Sutter Lakeside is the only trauma center and certified stroke center in Lake County and is accredited by The Joint Commission

Responsibilities

• Provide a full spectrum of orthopedic care, including clinic consultations, treatment planning, injections, fracture management, and surgical interventions
• Manage patient communications, review referrals, and handle medication refills
• Complete disability-related documentation
• Perform cast and splint management

Compensation

• Guaranteed salary
• Sign on bonus up to $50,000
• $562,952 - $1,166,880 /Yr

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency program
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Unrestricted California medical license, or ability to obtain one prior to employment
• DEA certification or ability to obtain prior to start date
