Orthopedic Surgeon
Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon for a long-term locums opportunity in Kentucky, starting July 2026. This role involves a full scope of orthopedic surgery cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with consistent pay. The ideal candidate will be available for a minimum of 7 consecutive days per month, with some flexibility.
Practice Info
- Full scope of work/responsibilities which includes both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Clinic + Scheduled procedure days weekly
- Shared night and weekend call blocks which will equal 10 days per month per FTE
- 200+ bed facility
- No trauma required; cases shipped out to nearby trauma center
- Trauma Level 4
Responsibilities
- Perform General Bread & Butter Orthopedic Surgery cases
- Manage full scope of work/responsibilities in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Conduct Clinic and Scheduled procedure days weekly
- Participate in shared night and weekend call blocks
- Perform Core Ortho Surgery, Joints, Hips, Knees, Shoulders, Hand, Foot Fractures (could see some peds in clinic)

Shift & Schedule
- Starts July 2026 and will be a long-term opportunity
- Shift time: 8a-8a
- Clinic Hours: 8a-4:30p
- Surgical Call: 4:30p-8a
- This will be an ongoing need, 15 – 17 days per month
Requirements
- Kentucky state medical license required
- Board Certified/Eligibility required
- Candidates must have a minimum of 7 consecutive days available per month and have some flexibility
- Need Kentucky license, will need KY Medicaid #, and No Malpractice
- Credentials Accepted: Physician (MD/DO)
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS (needed for admitting)
- Clean Background
