Orthopedic Surgeon

CompHealth is seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon for a long-term locum partnership, offering up to 10 days of coverage per month. This role involves both clinic/rounding and overnight call duties in a hospital setting, including ER call and inpatient rounding. CompHealth simplifies the locums process by handling credentialing, housing, and travel arrangements, allowing providers to focus on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour coverage during weekend call (Friday 7 am - Monday 7 am)
• Perform 8 hours of clinic/rounding during weekdays
• Provide overnight call coverage during weekdays
• Handle ER call
• Perform inpatient rounding
• Perform general orthopedic surgical procedures
• Perform general orthopedic non-surgical procedures
• Perform joint revision/repair procedures for hip, shoulder, and knee

Compensation

• We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly

Shift & Schedule

• Weekend call: Fri 7 am - Mon 7 am -- 24-hour coverage included
• Weekday schedule: 8 hrs clinic/rounding plus overnight call
• Overnight call volume: approx. 0 - 1 calls per night on weekdays
• Weekend call volume: approx. 2 - 4 calls per weekend
