Orthopedic Physician Assistant

We are a nationally recognized orthopedic and neurosurgery practice looking for an Orthopedic Physician Assistant to work closely with our patients and physicians on a daily basis. Our organization has rapidly expanded over the past several years and we are actively seeking a talented and hard-working PA to join our team of dedicated professionals. We also have multiple offices throughout CT and NY.

The Physician Assistant will work alongside our total joint surgeons, performing 1st assist in the hospital, and will also provide pre-operative and post-operative care in our clinic. The position includes 4 ten‑hour shifts with minimal on call.

Salary: $120,000 to $140,000

Responsibilities

• Perform casting/splints and dressing changes
• First assist in the operating room for total joint surgery
• Pre‑operative and post‑operative care in clinic setting
• Help patients manage metabolic issues
• Diagnose and treat neuromuscular disorders
• Document notes in EMR system
• Read MRI results

Requirements

• Board-certified Physician Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
• Valid Connecticut state PA license (or in process)
• Active DEA license
