Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Elios Healthcare is partnering with a well established orthopedic practice to recruit an Orthopedic Physician Assistant to support a highly respected sports medicine orthopedic surgeon.

The physician specializes in sports medicine, shoulder, knee, and total joint procedures .

Their current Physician Assistant has been with them for more than 20 years, a testament to the culture, leadership, and quality of the practice.

Due to continued growth, they are adding a second Physician Assistant to support both the clinic and operating room.

Responsibilities

• First assist in orthopedic surgical procedures
• Evaluate and treat patients in the outpatient clinic
• Develop treatment plans alongside the orthopedic surgeon
• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care
• Participate in approximately 3 to 4 days of call per month
• Provide sideline sports medicine coverage on Friday evenings during the local high school football season

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• NCCPA certification
• Eligible for or licensed as a Physician Assistant in Georgia
• Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred, but motivated new graduates with strong orthopedic rotations are encouraged to apply
