Orthopedic Medical Coder

To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time remote Orthopedic Medical Coder will provide coding and abstracting services for inpatient, outpatient, and clinic visits, utilizing ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 data sets while ensuring compliance with established coding principles. Key responsibilities Review medical records to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures for accurate coding Abstract and document information from medical records according to client guidelines Mentor training coders and new hires by providing education and support Required qualifications CPC, COC, CIC, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA certification Minimum of 3 years of experience in both Orthopedic Profee and Facility coding Experience coding Clinic E&M, diagnoses, and CPTs Proficiency in Neurology coding Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding principles and guidelines
