Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is seeking a Supplemental Orthopedic Hospitalist to join their team in Sacramento, CA. This role involves providing intermittent inpatient orthopedic care within their Adult Orthopedic Surgery Hospitalist Program. It is ideal for physicians with an ambulatory practice who wish to contribute to inpatient care on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient orthopedic care during scheduled 24-hour shifts
- Respond to urgent consults and manage perioperative care
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, APCs, and hospital staff to ensure timely and effective patient care
- Complete all required documentation, transfer-of-care tasks, and participate in multidisciplinary discussions as needed
Compensation
- Shift-Based Pay: Supplemental physicians are compensated per 24-hour shift according to the SMG Supplemental Shift Rate Table (paid monthly after shifts worked)
- $4,145.75 per 24-hr shift

Requirements
- MD or DO with Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery or relevant subspecialty
- Active California medical license and DEA certification
