- Case mix / clinical focus areas: general orthopaedics, surgical assist, fracture care, joint replacement, sports medicine
Facility & Team Details
- Specialty backup: full hospital services, orthopaedic surgeons, anesthesia support
- Support staff: collaborative team including orthopaedic surgeons, APPs, nurses, and OR staff
- Leadership & reporting structure: reports to supervising orthopedic surgeon and practice leadership
- Reason for opening: practice growth and expansion of orthopaedic services
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $125K annually
- Incentive bonus structure: $25K sign‑on bonus, $250 per 24h on‑call compensation, up to $30,400 additional call incentives

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Board status: NCCPA‑certified Physician Assistant
- State license required: active NC license or eligibility to apply
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
- Experience: minimum 1–2 years orthopaedic or surgical experience preferred
- Additional requirements: surgical assist competency, team‑based care experience, EMR proficiency
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and management of orthopaedic patients
- Assist in surgical procedures including joint replacement, fracture fixation, and arthroscopy
- Participate in shared call schedule with other APPs
- Conduct post‑operative care, follow‑up visits, and patient education
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff for coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with hospital standards
