n This position offers a high level of autonomy, strong physician mentorship, and the opportunity to develop specialized orthopaedic trauma expertise within one of the region's leading trauma programs.n

n Position Highlightsn
  • n Full-time, 1.0 FTE positionn
  • n Dedicated night-shift schedule: 6:00 PM – 8:00 AMn
  • n Inpatient orthopaedic trauma practicen
  • n Level I Trauma Center environmentn
  • n Work directly with four Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship-trained physiciansn
  • n Collaborative team of experienced Advanced Practice Providersn
  • n High degree of clinical autonomy with structured support and educationn
  • n Comprehensive procedural training providedn
  • n Hospital-based practice with no call requirements outside scheduled shiftsn

n Essential Responsibilitiesn
  • n Evaluate, assess, and manage orthopaedic trauma patients in the inpatient settingn
  • n Perform comprehensive history and physical examinationsn
  • n Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physiciansn
  • n Respond to orthopaedic trauma consults and patient care needs during overnight hoursn
  • n Assist in the management of fractures, musculoskeletal injuries, and post-operative patientsn
  • n Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studiesn
  • n Perform procedures within scope of practice and according to departmental training and competency standardsn
  • n Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team membersn
  • n Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and procedural notes in the electronic medical recordn
  • n Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental educational activitiesn
  • n Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulatory requirementsn

n n Minimum Qualificationsn n
n Educationn
  • n Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programn

n Certification & Licensuren
  • n NCCPA certification requiredn
  • n Eligible for or currently holding a Georgia Physician Assistant licensen
  • n DEA certification or eligibility, if applicablen
  • n BLS and ACLS certifications required or obtained within organizational guidelinesn
n Experiencen
  • n New graduates are encouraged to applyn
  • n Previous orthopaedic, surgical, emergency medicine, trauma, or inpatient experience preferred but not requiredn
