Overview
The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a skilled Foot and Ankle Surgeon for a full-time position at Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY. This role requires a strong background in orthopedic surgery, excellent surgical skills, and a commitment to patient care and safety.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Completion of an accredited Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Fellowship Program
- Valid and unrestricted NY license (or ability to obtain post hire)
- Familiarity with EPIC platform is preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical examinations of the feet and lower extremities
- Develop treatment plans, which may include prescribing medications, orthotics, or surgical interventions
- Perform surgical procedures such as arthroscopy, joint replacement, and corrective surgeries
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of foot and ankle disorders
- Educate patients on conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures
- Participate in a 1:5 call coverage
