In this role, you will:Develop test plans, test procedures, and schematics for system and subsystem-level mechanical tests on the Orion spacecraft and test articles.Learn and understanding the Orion spacecraft assembly, integration and test flow and the associated processes including test execution, anomaly resolution, and paper closure.Execute test procedures on current flight articles (Artemis III and Artemis IV) and future vehicles under Orion production.Collaborate with team members across the program including systems engineering, CPEs/RSEs, software, test labs, manufacturing, quality, and NASA.The work will involve acceptance testing, environmental testing and ground servicing of flight hardware (including fluids & pneumatic systems, mechanical structures and mechanisms) at the assembly, subsystem and spacecraft level of assembly.Test activities will primarily take place at Kennedy Space Center, but the position will be required to support test efforts at other locations for periods of time.The successful candidate will experience working with structural, environmental or pneumatic testing, familiarity using Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (pneumatic or fluids loading panels), fluid systems, such as Propulsion or Environmental Control and Life Support.Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Be a part of the Artemis and Orion teams taking astronauts to the Moon and beyond.
