Organizational Change Management Consultant

OCM ConsultantThe OCM Consultant position offers a highly motivated individual the opportunity to influence the success of IT projects around the globe. The OCM Consultant is an individual contributor in Duracell’s global IT Change Management Office and will play a key role on a project team to ensure the initiative meets objectives on time and on budget by ensuring employee readiness and adoption.This role will work through many others in the organization to succeed. The OCM Consultant will interact with executives and senior leaders in helping them fulfill their role of change sponsor.

The change manager will also provide direct or indirect support to managers and supervisors as they help their targeted stakeholder groups through change transitions.As an OCM Consultant your essential duties and responsibilities may include:Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activitiesSupport communication effortsAssess the change impact before, during and post project by conducting impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.Complete change management assessmentsIdentify and manage anticipated resistanceConsult and coach the project teamCreate actionable deliverables for change management levers as suited for the project: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management planSupport and engage senior leadersCoach managers and supervisorsIdentify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tacticsIntegrate change management activities into project planCollaborate on efforts to design and deliver anticipated project training programsCoordinate efforts with other specialistsEvaluate and ensure user readinessManage stakeholdersTrack and report issuesDefine and measure success metrics and monitor change progressSupport Hypercare/ post project close out via retrospectives and sharing lessons learnedAdditional responsibilities may include:Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilitiesSupport change management at the organizational levelMonitors the implementation of change management to ensure the disruption of normal business operations is minimizedActs as a change agent to implement and manage best practices across the IT organization.Skills and ExperienceRequired:A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change processExperience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools, with at least 2 years’ experience leading change initiativesExceptional communication skills, both written and oralMinimum 3 years of experience delivering change management in support of process or technology implementations/transformationsProject management experience; managing and completing projects efficiently and effectively in a high-paced, deadline-driven environmentExposure to the consumer product industryInnovative, creative, curious mindset, and passion for learning about, experimenting with and championing new approaches, platforms, and technologiesFlexible in dealing with changing priorities and comfortable with ambiguityExperience handling sensitive situations and confidential information with discretionAbility to establish and maintain strong relationships across a highly matrixed organizational structure of multi-disciplinary teamsWorks independently with a proactive approach and the ability to self-manageWorks effectively at all levels in an organization, working collaboratively with and through othersAcute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challengesStrong communicator, both written and oralExcellent active listening skillsAbility to influence others and move toward a common vision or goalResilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevereForward looking with a holistic, strategic approachOrganized with a natural inclination toward executing on scheduleSkilled with problem solving and root cause identification.Preferred:Minimum 1 year of experience on large-scale implementations/transformations in a global enterprise environment similar to DuracellTraining or certification in organizational change managementExperience on a Salesforce projectManagement consulting experience, especially in the disciplines of change management or organizational effectiveness and transformation.
