Assessing and prioritizing incoming organ and tissue offers, the per diem Organ Placement Coordinator will manage caseloads, coordinate transportation, and ensure compliance with organ donation protocols while working remotely. Key responsibilities Assess, prioritize, and assign incoming organ and tissue offers to Organ Placement Coordinators on duty Monitor and adjust team caseloads, leading turnover meetings for smooth transitions between shifts Communicate donor medical information and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely organ transportation and allocation Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related health field, or equivalent education and experience 3 years of organ allocation experience at an Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) or equivalent training Required experience with organ allocation processes and familiarity with UNOS systems Strong understanding of the organ and tissue donation process and basic medical terminology Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
