Oregon Licensed Medical Coder IV

To enhance coding accuracy and compliance, the full-time Oregon Licensed Medical Coder IV will complete medical coding, provide guidance to junior team members, and support process improvements in a remote environment for candidates residing in Oregon or Washington. Key responsibilities Completes medical coding by translating clinical information into coded data and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines Provides feedback and guidance to junior team members on coding practices and documentation standards Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Required qualifications Minimum four (4) years of continuous inpatient and/or hospital coding experience Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of six (6) years of coding experience, or six (6) years of coding experience with one (1) year in a corporate or business office environment Certified Coding Specialist, Registered Health Information Administrator, or Registered Health Information Technician required at hire
