Selector JobThe Selector is responsible for accurately selecting, staging, shipping, and receiving product in accordance with company standards. This role supports efficient warehouse operations by maintaining accuracy, meeting productivity expectations, and following all established safety procedures. Duties may also include replenishing inventory, transporting product throughout the warehouse, and performing general warehouse tasks as needed.ResponsibilitiesOperates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety proceduresPossesses basic understanding of equipment safety and adheres to all safety protocolsCompletes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipmentLoads and unloads freight in an efficient, accurate, and safe mannerMoves product to designated storage areas using appropriate material handling equipment; stacks and stores merchandise in assigned locationsPicks customers orders, assembling various types of merchandise for shipment.Processes orders including picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and completing shipment confirmationsVerifies freight accuracy and checks for damage or infestationAssists with physical inventories and cycle counts as neededMaintains a clean, organized, and safe work area at all timesPerforms sanitation duties as assignedPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by managementPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and/or walk for extended periods, up to 10–12 hours per shiftAbility to lift, carry, push, and/or pull minimum 10 lbs up to 50 lbs without restrictions, required by business needsFrequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching above the shoulder level & at shoulder levelAbility to work in environments with variable conditions, including noise levels, lighting, and temperature fluctuationsAble to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED preferredPreferred 6 months of electric pallet jack operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipmentMust be able to get NFI certified on electric pallet jackStrong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasksEffective customer service skills and basic math competenciesEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesLA County Applicants: The Company will consider qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with applicable state and local laws.
