Join a company where your contributions help move the world forward—one shipment at a time.About the PositionThe Order Dispatch Specialist will act as a superuser by prioritizing and executing the wave plan while creating and maintaining reports of daily data communication transactions. The Order Dispatch Specialist will be the primary contact for troubleshooting and conducting diagnostic testing to resolve problems. The Order Dispatch Specialist will also aid in coordinating orders with customer service, operations and transportation, tracking the progress of waves, releasing work to the floor, and maintaining an open line of communication with the operations management team as well as assist in making and clearly communicating, key business decisions.Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 5am to 7:30pmFunctionsDevelops, analyzes, modifies and executes the Wave Plan to ensure predetermine ship schedules are met for all customers while maintaining a level workload of activity across all shiftsPrioritizes daily schedule and create reports as needed to monitor, track and measure performance at all levelsProvides technical assistance as a superuser while conducting diagnostics to investigate and resolve problemsEscalates urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources or locate and leverage the appropriate external resources to solve problems as neededDocuments procedures and solutions for help desk issuesWorks closely with Transportation and Customer Service teams to evaluate truck loads, fill expedite request, and/or change routingWorks closely with Inventory teams to ensure inventory integrity when replacement product is needed to fill an orderMonitors and respond to email and phone calls in a timely mannerEnsures communication between Replenish associate for stock replenishment are completed to release orders to the floor in a timely mannerOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School or GED requiredMinimum of 1 years' experience in warehousing or distribution requiredMust have extensive working knowledge of EWM, SAP and WMS systemsMS Office skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint as well as data entry and typing abilityExperience as a super user in distribution or warehousing strongly preferredExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to speak effectively before groupsAttention to detail and data accuracyAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals and to write routine reports and correspondenceMust be team orientedMust be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritiesAbility to adapt to changing situations in high stress environmentAbility to understand abstract relationships, develop ideas, and solve problems creativelyFlexibility to work different shifts if necessary and overtime with little or no noticeCompetenciesAction Oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.Decision Quality - Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.Optimizes Work Processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.Situational Adaptability - Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.Travel RequirementsNo travel required.DisclosuresThe statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job.
