Package HandlerThe package handler is responsible for accurately checking, packaging, sealing, assembling and loading packages of customer orders in a manner that meets company standards for quality and productivity. Responsible for the operation of all equipment, including automatic sealer and packing machine.In an effort, to provide the highest level of customer service, all warehouse associates will be cross trained to be proficient in shipping, order picking, stock put away and replenishment, other basic inventory control functions, and basic receiving functions.
Compensation will be $17 an hour.Job ResponsibilitiesFill boxes with dunnage and seal securely to prevent damage in transitSort packages by carrier and ship methodMake sure packages are properly labeledEnsure items are placed in the correct parcel containerSort packages between box or envelopeBuild pallet of outgoing boxes stacking appropriately for shippingPlace all flat envelopes in bagsLoad all outgoing packages onto truckGather, stack and return empty totes to the pick zone locationsReturn all partially picked orders to the appropriate pick zonesFollow all safety protocols and guidelinesFollow all company policies as outlined in the employee handbookMaintain cleanliness of work area and stocked with necessary supplies
