Job PostingThis is a contract to hire role. This position is responsible for processing daily billing activities, including EDI and customer portal invoicing, preparing reports, processing documentation, and supporting customer communication related to order status.
The role also serves as the primary order processer and customer liaison, ensuring accurate order entry and resolving order-related discrepancies in accordance with company policies and customer requirements.The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Major Job FunctionsProcess and generate daily customer invoices accurately and on timeSubmit invoices through EDI systems and customer billing portalsMonitor and resolve invoice transmission errors or rejectionsScan, upload, and electronically file invoices and supporting documentationAccurately enter customer purchase orders data received through various modesVerify order details such as product information, quantities, pricing, and shipping details for accuracyEnsure all incoming orders are processed promptly and in accordance with company standardsDevelop and maintain a strong understanding of company products and servicesProvide timely order updates and exceptional customer service regarding order inquiriesCoordinate with Accounts Receivable to help mitigate credit riskCollaborate with production and distribution teams to understand order status and fulfillment timelinesMonitor customer trends and communicate relevant observations to the operations teamPerform other administrative tasks as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities/EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent5+ years of experience in order processing, billing, or accounting supportExperience with high volume data entry supporting a large customer base in a manufacturing environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing large volumes of dataExcellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a changing environmentStrong multitasking, prioritization, and time-management abilitiesHighly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of logistics, including LTL, TL, freight rates, and transit timesStrong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments and manufacturing facilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office and other common business technology platformsExperience with EDI processing and customer portals preferredExperience working within an ERP system; SAP S/4Hana experience is a plusWork EnvironmentOffice-based, Monday-FridayFast-paced setting with daily deadlinesCollaborative team atmosphereEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
