York is seekinga Flight Dynamics Engineer to support the design, analysis, and on-orbit support of spacecraft flight dynamics and mission analysis across a range of commercial and national security missions. This individual will work with the Flight Dynamics team, working across multiple programs to define subsystem architecture, develop algorithms and models, support verification and flight operations.

This role will be fully on-site in our Greenwood Village, CO office.

Responsibilities

  • Developandvalidateflight dynamics softwarepartneringwith mission operations, spacecraft subsystems,and software engineering teams to support mission design, on-orbitoperations, and contractphases
  • Design and analyze constellation architectures, including orbital regimes, plane spacing, phasing strategies, and deployment concepts
  • Performand supportvarious mission and system level analysesensuring space vehicle designs meetor exceed requirements across subsystems
  • Provide engineering support in the development of missionarchitectureand day in the life analysis for a variety of different missions
  • Support development of mission concept of operations
  • Identify, create, and use availabletoolsto model and analyzea givensystem’sperformance and capabilityin relation to mission objectives
  • Perform trade studies forvarious mission designsto meetcontactcoverage, lifetime, regulatory requirements, andvalidatemissionfeasibility
  • Work closely withother engineering disciplines and the associated leads to ensure design closure
  • Support spacecraft mission operations, and anomaly investigation using telemetry and flight data during planning and execution phases

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering,computerscience, physicsor related technical field from accredited university
  • 0-4 years’ experience (salary based on experience).
  • Understandingof orbital dynamics, spacecraft subsystems, andtheir relation to each other
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Collaborative and effective in team environments
  • Experience with industry-standard tools such as STK, GMAT, or equivalent
  • Experience withPythonsoftware development
  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Willingness to work full-time in our Greenwood Village, CO office
