Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, in affiliation with New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, is seeking two part-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. These roles will contribute to an expanding department focused on orthognathic practice growth and the launch of bone regeneration and implantology services. • Two part-time positions available (16 hours and 24 hours per week)
• Department focused on growing its orthognathic practice and launching bone regeneration and implantology services
• Elmhurst Hospital Center is a 545-bed tertiary care facility
• ACS-verified level 1 trauma center
• Located in Queens, NY

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care to patients, including orthognathic, bone regeneration, and implantology procedures
• Supervise and mentor oral and maxillofacial residents and students within the clinic
• Utilize operating room privileges to perform complex procedures and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure cohesive patient care, support community service events, and promote the hospital's mission

Compensation

• Compensation ranges from $124,800 to $187,200, excluding on-call coverage and faculty practice distributions that are awarded throughout the academic year
• The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits

Requirements

• DDS or DMD degree
• Board eligible or certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
• Valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number
• Strong interest in research and clinical operations
• Strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience in orthognathic surgery, bone regeneration, and implantology
