Oracle OCI Services and Solutions Architect

Overview

Oracle OCI Services and Solutions Architect – On-site role in Richmond, VA. Four days per week on-site required.

Location: Richmond, VA 23225.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, review, and implementation of Oracle OCI services and solution offerings.
• Collaborate with customer agencies, managed cloud suppliers, and internal teams to ensure architectures and environments provide efficient, effective, secure, and compliant solutions based on best practices and well-architected frameworks.
• Review proposed changes and projects relative to the security of an IT environment.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of forward-thinking IT experience; 3 years of hands-on cloud technology experience (preferably with OCI).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience implementing, migrating, or managing operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment.
• College degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledgeable of cloud networking architectures utilizing virtual networks, VPN, subnets, network security groups, load balancers, etc.
• Experience with cloud reference models, creating diagrams and other design documentation.
• Oracle OCI specific certifications (Cloud Ops, Architecture, Security, etc.).
• Experience with security and regulatory frameworks such as NIST, PCI, CJIS, FedRAMP, etc.
• Experience working with security and controls of an IT environment; ability to review technical solutions for technical and fiscal accuracy.
• Experience with scripting and build tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform.
• Experience with configuration management and monitoring tools (e.g., Fleet Application Management, Puppet, OCI Monitoring, Splunk).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and under specific deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
