First and foremost we look for a proven database developer, with a strong desire to grow their knowledge and capabilities while passionate about the tasks at hand.Note: Candidate must 8+ years as a core PL/SQL Developer and then experience in Snowflake development.Please don't send Data Engineers who know and use PL/SQL as this job is not in the ETL phase yet and not what we're looking for. Developers only.The Expertise and Skills You BringMinimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Snowflake developer8+ years of hands-on experience as a Oracle pl/sql developer.Strong RDBMS skills – SQL querying, writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, user privileges, object privileges, etc.Strong data analysis and design skills.Has done performance tuning of stored procedures and queries.Knows ETL processes to load large volumes of data at speed, e.g.
SQL Loader, Snowplow etc. Knows replication strategies like HVR.Excellent Knowledge of Snowflake, migrating data from Oracle to Snowflake.Has experience in Linux environment and knows basic Unix commands.Experience working with team in Agile methodologyKnowledge of Core Java, Python, scheduling tool like Control-M is nice to have.Experience in database modeling.AWS Cloud experience is a plusStrong data analysis skills, design, and coding experience in Financial Industry preferably in Capital Markets/ Securities Finance.5+ years working in financial industry is a plus.Understand glossaries and terminologies in financial industryAbility to work independently and collaborate with teams.Motivated and able to deliver end to end solutions.Good communication skill to both technology folks and business partners.Quick learner, adaptable, has the right attitude to work across teams to find and deploy solutions.Committed to timely and quality deliverables.Good team player.
