Oracle Database Developer
Compunnel Inc. is seeking a senior Oracle database developer with over 10 years of experience in the financial industry. The role requires extensive SQL, PL/SQL, and database administration skills.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience as a database developer in Oracle
- Strong data analysis, design, and coding skills
- Proficient in SQL querying, writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, pipeline functions, views, and table partitioning
- Experience restricting access through roles, user privileges, and object privileges
- Performance tuning of stored procedures and queries
- Use of SQL Loader to load large files
- Proficiency with SQL*Plus
- Knowledge of Oracle AQ messaging
- Comfortable working on Linux servers and writing shell programs
- Experience working with a team in Agile methodology
- AWS Cloud experience is a plus
- 5+ years of work experience in the financial industry, preferably in capital markets/prime brokerage
- Understanding of glossaries and terminologies in the financial industry
- Knowledge of accounting concepts is nice to have
- Prime Brokerage application development experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams
- Good communication skills to both technology folks and business partners
- Quick learner, adaptable, and has the right attitude to work across teams to find and deploy solutions
