Client is seeking an experienced Database Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale database solutions supporting mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle databases , strong SQL skills , and hands-on experience working in Azure and AWS cloud environments .
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions.
- Lead database architecture decisions for on-prem and cloud-based systems.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Manage and maintain Oracle databases , including performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
- Implement database solutions in Azure and AWS environments.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with application teams, cloud engineers, and DevOps teams.
- Troubleshoot complex database performance and availability issues.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior database engineers and developers.
- Support database migration and modernization initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 12–15 years of overall IT experience with strong focus on Database Architecture .
- Extensive experience with Oracle Database (architecture, performance tuning, replication).
- Advanced SQL expertise.
- Hands-on experience in Azure cloud services related to databases.
- Experience working with AWS database services.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
- Experience with database security, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with database migration from on-prem to cloud.
- Exposure to healthcare or government domain systems.
- Knowledge of automation, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code concepts.
