Oracle Database Administrator
Randstad is partnering with a retail firm in Boston that is looking to hire a contract remote Oracle Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of Oracle database admin experience, including extensive knowledge of Oracle EBS.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain the performance of database servers
- Develop processes for optimizing database security
- Set and maintain database standards
- Manage database access
- Performance tuning of database systems
- Install, upgrade, patching, and manage database applications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of related work experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge and experience with DBMS (database management system) – Oracle (required)
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Oracle application (Required - EBS; Preferred - MOM)
- Familiarity with network protocols, Internet, and Intranet design/usage
- Knowledge of database theory
- Knowledge of database design
- General understanding of distributed computing architectures, e.g. Client/Server, Internet/Intranet, Enterprise
- General understanding of the underlying operating system, e.g.
