Base pay range
$35.00/hr - $38.00/hr
Duties
- Assist in a variety of surgical procedures including General, Plastics, Orthopedics, Neuro Spine, Vascular, OB/GYN, Urology, and ENT.
- Manage surgical instruments and ensure aseptic techniques are followed.
- Participate in call rotations, approximately 1 weekend per month and 1-2 nights per week.
- Float between like units as required and accommodate block schedules per manager discretion.
- Ensure compliance with all facility guidelines and protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in a variety of surgical procedures across different specialties including Vascular, Gynecology, Plastics, Neuro Surgery, Trauma, Orthopedic, Cardiovascular, General Surgery, and more.
- Knowledge of Aseptic Technique, Instrument Processing, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, and Sterilization/Disinfection.
- Experience with Sterile Processing, including Assembly/Wrap, Endoscopes, Flexible Endoscope Reprocessing, and more.
- Familiarity with Endoscopic Procedures, Robotics, and Equipment/Instrumentation/Supplies.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in a Level 2 trauma or travel setting.
- Community Hospital Experience preferred.
- Trauma Level II Experience preferred.
- Certifications required: BLS, CST, NCCT.
- Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic, is advantageous.
