Opportunity Overview

Immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN at Shady Grove Fertility in Towson, Maryland.

  • Schedule: Varies
  • Compensation: $38 to $45 per hour (commensurate with experience)

How You'll Contribute

In this role, the OR/PACU RN will:

  • Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans
  • Perform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery
  • Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
  • Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
  • Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
  • Provide patient education

Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
  • Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
