OR Nurse Educator – Manhattan, NY | Monday–Friday | 4×10s | Day Shift
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- 4×10‑hour shifts per week
- Daytime hours, no nights
Position Overview
The OR Nurse Educator will support perioperative staff through education, competency development, onboarding, and continuous clinical training. This role plays a key part in maintaining high‑quality standards in the operating room and ensuring safe, evidence‑based practice across the surgical department.
Responsibilities
- Provide education, training, and coaching to OR nursing staff
- Develop and implement clinical competencies, skills validation, and annual training
- Support onboarding for new OR staff and travelers
- Collaborate with surgeons, leadership, and perioperative teams to improve workflow and patient outcomes
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and perioperative best practices
Requirements
- Active NYS RN license
- Strong OR experience (scrub and/or circulating)
- Experience in OR education, precepting, or training strongly preferred
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
