The clinic offers comprehensive services including routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, optical services and management of ocular health conditions. We currently have 4 locations and 5 providers and we are hiring a clinic manager for our Republic and Rogersville locations. If you enjoy leading a team, keeping everyone accountable, and using consistent systems to help daily operations run smoothly, we’d love to meet you!

You’ll work closely with Dr. Hart to manage day-to-day operations and keep the practice running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Employee Scheduling with the goal of maximum efficiency

·       Employee Payroll and PTO tracking and coordination with our payroll service

·       Arrange staff essential training

·       Maintain staff work outcomes by coaching and counseling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising standard operating procedure results

·       Recruit, interview, test, and select employees to fill vacant positions

·       Oversee patient scheduling to maximize physician & staff efficiency

·       Monitor daily office operations working closely with Optometrists creating better processes and workflows for productivity

·       Oversee Revolution EHR integration & training

·       Train staff in appropriate patient-customer service techniques

·       Coordinate with billing service and train staff on appropriate billing and coding operations

·       Oversee doctor credentialing for location

·       Oversee & review patient statements sent out monthly for location

·       Oversee accounts payable for location

·       Oversee quality control and patient exceptional service standards

·       Work cooperatively as needed with other location managers in executing all aspects of daily operations, policies, HIPAA and staffing needs

·       Participate in long-range planning and the development of organizational goals, strategic plans and objectives for VHEC by attending executive meetings.

·       Report directly to Dr. Hart on location management metrics

·       Oversee Optical – frame inventory, lens laboratory, contact lens

Required and Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma and at least three to five years of related experience. You should be comfortable with accounting, administrative and clerical procedures, business management principles, and human resources practices. Strong organizational, analytical, people, and negotiation skills are a must, along with the ability to work efficiently and handle interactions with clients, vendors, and staff with diplomacy and tact. Experience with electronic clinic management and medical records systems is helpful. xhqgsiq Familiarity with HIPAA and CMS rules and regulations is a big plus but isn’t required.
