Description
The Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University School ofMedicine is seeking an optometrist to join the Wilmer EyeInstitute's comprehensive eye care division. This individual willwork independently to provide primary ocular evaluations forpatients at Wilmer Eye Institute's outpatient clinic location inWhite Marsh, MD.
- Comprehensive care providers perform vision and medical eyeexams within the bounds of individual licensure and Maryland'slegal scope of practice.
- Common encounters include diabetic eye examinations; evaluationof dry eye disease, cataracts, and glaucoma suspicion; Plaquenilscreenings; and triage of urgent eye or vision concerns.
- On-site referral/consultation for patients requiring surgicalor advanced subspecialist care in glaucoma, retina, cornea,neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, and low visionrehabilitation.
- Vision care services include prescription of glasses and softcontact lenses, with the opportunity to build a practice inspecialty therapeutic contact lenses. An on-site optical isavailable with a team of licensed opticians and high-qualitymaterials.

Qualifications
Experience
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience or successful completion ofaccredited optometry residency program.
Education
• Graduation from an accredited school of Optometry required.
• License in good standing in State of Maryland required.
• National Provider Identification (NPI) required.
