About Us

Unique hybrid opportunity for a medically oriented optometrist to join a growing team of ophthalmologists and optometrists in beautiful Colorado Springs. This is a full-time position.

A private ophthalmology practice in Colorado Springs is seeking an optometrist to take on a hybrid role splitting time between the medical clinic doing routine and medical eye care and the LASIK center doing pre-operative and post-operative appointments. Work alongside fellow optometrists as well as multiple ophthalmology specialties including glaucoma, cornea and medical retina. Practice to the full scope of your license.

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, clinically driven, and compassionateDoctor of Optometry (OD)with a strong passion for medical optometry. The ideal candidate is comfortable diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of ocular diseases, performing comprehensive eye exams, and handling urgent care/emergency visits. Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution

Strong focus on patient care and customer service

Ability to connect with patients

Proficiency in routine and medical eye care

Experience with specialty contact lens fittings

Experience with LASIK and PRK co-management

Job Responsibilities

Medical Clinic

Provide routine eye exams and refractions, soft contact lens fittings, specialty contact lens fittings and medical eye care in a professional setting.

LASIK Center

Provide comprehensive work up, examination and education to patients considering LASIK, PRK and EVO ICL surgery.

Determine best procedure for each patient based on clinical findings and patient lifestyle.

Plan treatments and calculations with corneal specialist to ensure safety criteria are met.

Provide post operative care monitoring for and treating any complications that arise.
