Optometrist

Optometrist – Full-time

Our client is a family-oriented practice group that provides full-service vision care for children and adults. They are hiring an Optometrist for a full-time opportunity. The offices are located inside select retail locations.

Base pay range : $135,000.00/yr – $145,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision tests
• Diagnose defects of the eye, such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma
• Provide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to visual imperities based on each patient’s specific case and medical history
• Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, and contact lenses
• Advise patients on proper eye care techniques
• Keep updated and accurate medical records for all patients
• Advise patients on how to use and maintain their contact lenses
• Co-management of patients with local Ophthalmologists

Requirements

• Degree in Optometry, or currently enrolled in your 4th year of Optometry school
• In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects
• The ability to explain medical terms in a clear and concise manner
• Licensed optometrist, in the process of acquiring license, or currently enrolled as a fourth-year student in an accredited School of Optometry
