Love helping people see well? You may be the right person to join our team! Eye Physicians of Long Beach, a well-established ophthalmology and optometry practice serving the community since 1978 is looking for a friendly, outgoing Optician to join our Optical team.

You will work alongside our physicians and staff in giving every one of our patients the best eyewear that fits their prescription, lifestyle and personal style.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Interpret eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions
• Advise patients with frame selections, appropriate lens materials and lens options 
• Take precise measurements including PD, OC and Segment heights
• Fit and adjust frames for optimal comfort and function
• Repairs
• Prepare lab orders, inspect and verify prescriptions on finished eyewear before dispensing 
• Advise patients on how to wear and take care of their eyewear
• Troubleshooting any patient concerns with their eyewear
• Maintain patient records and process vision claims

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of Optician experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• ABO certification preferred, but not necessary
• California SLD/CLD registration a plus
• A warm, patient-first personality and team mindset.
