Optical Network Engineer III
We are seeking an Optical Network Engineer with a strong background in the telecommunications industry. This role involves provisioning new equipment for revenue-generating orders managed through a Jira system. The position offers an opportunity for a potential on-call rotation after the initial six months.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision new optical network equipment based on assigned revenue orders.
- Manage tasks and products through the Jira system.
- Participate in a potential on-call rotation every 4-5 months after the first six months.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of three years of professional experience in Optical Engineering is required. Experience in the telecommunications industry is necessary for this role.
Technical Skills
- Ciena 6500 series
- Cisco (M6 & M15)
- Nokia Optical Platform
- Jira, BMC Remedy, and Chalk
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications related to Ciena, Cisco, or Nokia optical platforms.
