Ops/Test AnalystJT4 China Lake is seeking an experienced Ops/Test Analyst.

The role is responsible for assisting in software developmental/operational testing of internal and external customer systems. Interface between instrumentation engineers and test customers to ensure that parametric data required is available for test data analysis and accurately reflects the system configuration and operational characteristics.JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.An ideal candidate will have an active Secret clearance.This position is located at China Lake and is not eligible for telework.Range RequirementsContribute as a member of a small project teamContribute to maintaining and improving software test processAssist in the creation and execution of software test plans, test cases, and test scriptsAssist in identifying, tracking, and documenting defects and anomalies in softwareCollaborate with team on fixing identified defects and anomalies of softwareAssist in creating, maintaining, and reviewing automated software testsAssist in creating test runsContribute feedback to requirements and designKnowledge of software development lifecycle processInterest in software development, with the ability to develop simple systems or prototypes and apply a strong understanding of software functionality to support effective testing and quality assuranceStrong Query Skills: able to write complex queries to verify resultsProvide QA related support as requestedJob Summary -- Essential Functions/DutiesAssists in developmental and operational testing of internal and external customer systems. Interface between instrumentation engineers and test customers to ensure that parametric data required is available for test data analysis and accurately reflects the system configuration and operational characteristics: Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:Contribute as a member of a small project teamContribute basic knowledge on the test processContribute basic knowledge on EW, RF, or ProtocolsDevelop basic data analysis tools, processes, or products for analysisAnalyze pre-test predictions to define data collection requirementsAssist in the conduct of test activities from control centersOrder, QC and analyze dataIdentify and resolve basic data anomaliesProvide related support as requestedRequirements -- Education, Technical, and Work ExperienceCompletion of technical training and four years of related experience; or an associate degree and two years of related experience or a related bachelor's degree (engineering, math, computer science, or physics). The incumbent must understand concepts, principles, and practices of engineering and analysis to enable the employee to serve as a technical authority on projects relating to the specific programs.
