Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 650+ provider multispecialty group practice that has an excellent opportunity for a Surgical Ophthalmologist (MD/DO) to join SAMG in a rural community lacking those services. In providing this support, you will obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System s program across all communities we serve. Support: Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Ontario offers a 24/7 Emergency Department, 24/7 anesthesia support, and full ancillary departments (MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, Echo and Laboratory). Saint Alphonsus Medical Group provides regional network support and outreach for surgical subspecialties including surgical oncology, colorectal surgery, upper GI surgery, orthopedics, ENT, and gynecology; Local primary care and specialty clinics, medical oncology.

Requirements :

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree;
• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Surgical Ophthalmology residency program.
• Board certification through the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS)- or obtain such certification within 5 years of employment .
• Obtain Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC Ontario as well as other affiliated hospitals as needed; valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
