Job Summary
Geisinger seeks a full‑time board‑certified/eligible, ASOPRS fellowship‑trained specialist in Oculoplastics to join the Department of Ophthalmology at the new Healthplex in Pittston, Pennsylvania. The role offers a modern clinic with 30 exam rooms, three surgical facilities, and advanced diagnostic technologies. Responsibilities
- Interview and examine patients, obtain medical and family histories.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests including HVF, OCT, FA, fundus camera, IOL Master, immersion, Pentacam and Topography.
- Diagnose and design treatment plans for oculoplastic conditions such as ptosis, entropion, ectropion, eyelid tumors, thyroid eye disease, and other peri‑orbital disorders.
- Perform SLT laser, YAG laser, Argon laser, Diode CPC procedures and other surgical interventions.
- Prescribe or administer medications and maintain accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with PA‑Cs and scribes, practice a shared home call schedule, and participate in academic activities and research.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (required).
- Board‑certified or eligible in Ophthalmology.
- ASOPRS fellowship training in oculoplastics.
- Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Demonstrated experience in comprehensive oculoplastic surgery and diagnostic work‑up.
